The IRC Seattle Microenterprise Development Program works to reduce barriers to success for entrepreneurs and small business owners who are underserved by traditional business resources and financial institutions. Our program offerings:
Business technical assistance: Our business counselors can help entrepreneurs at any step of their small business journey. We offer assistance ranging from developing a business plan, to researching requirements and locations, to connecting with other business owners in Western Washington.
Financial education and empowerment: We work closely with our financial coach to ensure that all entrepreneurs and business owners have a secure personal finance foundation from which to launch or expand their business.
Access to loan products: Through the Center for Economic Opportunity (CEO), we offer small business loans from $500 to $50,000. CEO was created with the express intention of helping new Americans and others who may not have access to traditional lending sources due to a lack of credit history.
Program Eligibility:
Individuals who fall between the ultra-low to moderate income percentage of the area's median income, adjusted for family size. All participants regardless of immigration status are welcome. Interpretation services are available. Services are only provided to clients who live within Snohomish, King, Pierce, & Thurston counties.
