Cowlitz Economic Development Council
About
Since its establishment in 1979, the Cowlitz Economic Development Council (CEDC), a private, not for profit organization dedicated to the economic vitality of the region, has helped bring thousands of jobs and millions of dollars’ worth of capital investment to the county.
The CEDC is a partnership between private companies and public entities whose role is to assist businesses to build, relocate and expand in Cowlitz County. It promotes job creation and investment while maintaining the county’s exceptional environment and high quality of life.
Through job development, workforce retention programs, tax incentives, networking and sales leads, the CEDC creates opportunities for business development, growth and success.
The CEDC is an invaluable partner for marketing and promotion, and regularly connects new or expanding businesses to local companies for products and services.
The CEDC is an advocate for business, forging partnerships with lawmakers and regional leaders to ensure Cowlitz County corporations have an influential voice in economic policy making.
The CEDC actively supports quality of life, knowing that employers and their workforce not only do business in Cowlitz County, but also live, raise families, go to school and seek cultural and recreational activities in the area.
